Energy efficiency is where our company name comes from, and it is built into how we renovate. A home loses most of its comfort through the same few places: old single-pane Windows, thin or missing Insulation, leaky ducts and air gaps, an aging air conditioner and a dark Roof that soaks up the sun. Fixing those, in the right order, makes the biggest difference to your bills.
We start by looking at the whole house rather than selling a single product. Sealing and insulating first often means a smaller, cheaper HVAC system will do the job. A Cool Roof and efficient Windows cut the heat that the air conditioner has to fight in Valley and high-desert summers. Solar then covers more of what is left.
California's Title 24 energy code applies to many Remodels, so efficiency upgrades also need to be permitted and installed to code. We handle that as the licensed general contractor. Utility and state incentive programs change often, so ask us what is currently available for your project.
Note: ESR (Energy Star Remodeling Inc.) is a private contractor. Our name is not an endorsement by, or affiliation with, the U.S. EPA ENERGY STAR program. We install products that carry the ENERGY STAR label when clients choose them.

Questions
Energy-Efficient Home Renovations FAQ
Which energy upgrade should I do first?
Usually Air Sealing and Insulation, then Windows, then HVAC, then Solar. Reducing how much heat gets in first lets you buy a smaller air conditioner and a smaller Solar system.
Are you part of the government ENERGY STAR program?
No. ESR (Energy Star Remodeling Inc.) is a private, licensed contractor and is not affiliated with the U.S. EPA ENERGY STAR program. We can install ENERGY STAR certified Windows and products on request.
