About
ESR (Energy Star Remodeling Inc.) is a licensed California general contractor based in Los Angeles, with roots going back to 2005. We build, repair and maintain homes and HOA communities, and design and build Additions and new development.
Our founder and owner, Udi Hen, started in construction more than 20 years ago and founded US International Design in 2005, then Dream Home Solar in 2016. ESR grew out of that experience. Udi is the Responsible Managing Officer (RMO) on our state license, which means he is personally accountable for the work, and he oversees every project himself. Many companies qualify their license through a hired RMO; at ESR the owner, the CEO and the license holder are one person, so there are no salespeople and no middlemen between you and the licensed contractor.
We describe ourselves simply: problem solvers. Most of our work starts with something going wrong, such as a leak, failing Paint or a tired house, and ends with the cause fixed and the property looking better than before. Homeowner associations and property managers are a big part of our client base, and we organize our projects to make their job easier.

Works with ESR on scheduling, process improvement and operational planning.
Superintendent
Works with ESR in the field, supervising job sites, coordinating trades and keeping projects on schedule.
Administration
Works with ESR on client communication, scheduling and project paperwork.
Marketing
Works with ESR on marketing campaigns, client communication and the ESR brand.
Accounting
Works with ESR on bookkeeping and financial support.
Tech & Network
Works with ESR on technology, networks and the systems that keep projects connected.
